67’s mark halfway point of road trip in Windsor
The Ottawa 67’s (8-7-2-3) continue their trip through Southern Ontario on Saturday night, meeting the Windsor Spitfires (16-5-2-0) for the first of two meetings this season. You can catch all of the action at 7:05 p.m. on CHLTV, Rogers TV, or on 580 CFRA.
Last night, the Barber Poles fought their way out of what looked like a blowout in the making in the first 10 minutes. Down 3-0, the 67’s rallied to tie the Sarnia Sting thanks to goals from Henry Mews, Luca Pinelli, and Caden Kelly, before eventually falling 5-4 in the shootout.
Pinelli’s second-period goal tied him with Joe Talbot and Ryan Kuwabara for 24th in all-time franchise goal scoring at 107.
Windsor enters the night having won their past two games, taking down quality opponents in the Barrie Colts and Kitchener Rangers on back-to-back nights. Liam Greentree, Noah Morneau, and A.J. Spellacy all scored last night in their win. The Spitfires complete their three games in three days swing tonight.
The 67’s are yet to meet Windsor this season. Last year, the teams split their two-game season series.

Keys to the game
- Dirty areas
There are goals to be had in the dirty areas — the 67’s need to attack those spots on the ice, and get to work.
- Want it
Forecheck, backcheck, short shifts, and all the hockey cliches you can think of apply here. Don’t cheat, leave it all out on the ice.
- Relish the opportunity
This will be a test for Ottawa, but there should be excitement about the chance to prove yourself against one of the league’s top teams.
