67’s make return to Gatineau
With the 2022-23 Ontario Hockey League preseason in full swing, the Ottawa 67’s will renew a historic rivalry, tonight, across the Quebec Border.
For the first time since December 6, 2019, the Barber Poles will visit the Gatineau Olympiques at the Centre Slush Puppie, in exhibition crossover action. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm ET, and fans can watch for free on CHL TV.
The 67’s are looking to rebound, coming off of a 5-0 loss to the Sudbury Wolves in Kanata, Sunday. It hasn’t been all bad for them this preseason, however, having beaten the Kingston Frontenacs 2-0 in the opener.
Gatineau, meanwhile, has lost three straight, most recently dropping a 6-5 shootout decision on the road to the Victoriaville Tigres, a night ago. The Olympiques received goals from five different scorers; Cristiano Spadafora, Tristan Luneau, Isaac Beliveau, Olivier Boutin, and Will Chisholm, respectively, with Luneau adding another in the shootout.

Game Notes:
- The 67’s won 4-0 in their last visit to Gatineau. Joseph Garreffa scored twice, with Noel Hoefenmayer, and Jack Quinn adding the others. Cedrick Andree recorded a 24-save shutout.
- The last time these two faced off in the preseason was September 15, 2019. The Olympiques took it 6-5 in overtime. Jack Beck had a goal and an assist, for Ottawa.
- The Barber Poles haven’t lost a road playoff game since September 18, 2021.
