67’s look to knock off Bulldogs on home ice
After a Game 5 that was mired in controversy, the Ottawa 67’s get another chance to advance on Sunday night, at home for Game 6.
With a win sending them to the second round of the OHL Playoffs, the 67’s host the Brantford Bulldogs tonight, in a 7:00pm puck drop. Fans can watch live on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls call the action for 580 CFRA.
After Brady Stonehouse cut a Brantford lead to 3-2 late, Saturday afternoon, Cooper Foster appeared to tie the game, but Brantford coach Jay McKee challenged the play for goaltender interference. Despite Kimi Körbler appearing to be pushed into the crease, and into Matteo Drobac after the puck was on its way in, the call on the ice was overturned after a nearly ten-minute review. Florian Xhekaj’s second of the game then came by way of an empty-netter, keeping Brantford’s season alive with a 4-2 win.
