67’s host Petes in final home game of 2024
The Arena at TD Place has been plenty busy the last number of days, with the Canadian World Junior Team taking over, but on Friday night, it’s once again Ottawa 67’s (10-11-2-4) territory, as they host the Peterborough Petes (6-19-1-4) in their final home game of 2024.
Puck drop comes at 7 p.m. and tickets are still available here. You can catch all of the action on Rogers TV or CHLTV, and you can hear Kenny Walls’ call online here.
Please be advised, pre-paid parking passes for tonight’s game are sold out. Alternative methods of transportation, and everything else you need to know about your night at TD Place, can be found here.
The 67’s last played on Sunday afternoon, dropping a hard-fought contest to the Barrie Colts. Luca Pinelli scored the lone goal for the Barber Poles, but Head Coach Dave Cameron said that he liked “everything except for the result.”
Ottawa will be without both Pinelli and Cameron, who are at Selection Camp for the World Juniors. Along with them, Filip Ekberg remains out of the 67’s lineup, as he represents Sweden at the World Junior A Challenge in Alberta.
The Petes find themselves at the bottom of the OHL standings, but all of a sudden, they’re red hot, winning four of their past five games. In that time, they’ve earned wins over the Niagara IceDogs, and the Oshawa Generals a night ago.
The Petes held a 3-1 lead after two periods last night, but the Generals rallied to force overtime. The maroon and white picked up the winner early in the sudden death period. Gavin Bryant — the first player to wear the number 13 in Petes history — potted his sixth of the season, and gave Peterborough their fourth-consecutive home win.
The Highway 7 rivals have met only once this season, with the 67’s securing a 4-2 win back on November 29th.

Keys to the game
Next man up
The 67’s are without some key people in all kinds of different roles tonight. Everyone has an opportunity to pick up the slack.
Defence
Ottawa has won games on the strength of their defence a lot this season, and they’ll need to be on point tonight without their biggest goal-scoring threat.
Home cooking
It’s the last home game for 2024. The 67’s can feed off the home fans, and find some strength in their support.
