67’s host Generals in penultimate home game of 2024-25
It’s the final Friday night home game of the regular season for the Ottawa 67’s (21-33-3-6), hosting the Oshawa Generals (38-19-4-2) inside The Arena at TD Place at 7 p.m. It’s not too late to grab your tickets.
Everything you need to know about your trip to TD Place is all in one place, right here. If you can’t make it to the rink, you can follow along on Rogers TV and CHLTV, or hear Kenny Walls’ call on TSN 1200.
The pulse on the 67’s playoff hopes is still there, sitting four points back of the North Bay Battalion for the final postseason position in the Eastern Conference with five games left to play. Their week got off to a rough start, however, falling 7-1 to the Kingston Frontenacs on the road on Wednesday night.
Ottawa got their lone goal of the night courtesy of Nic Whitehead, his ninth of the campaign. The primary assist went to Swedish import Filip Ekberg, extending his point streak to six games, in which time he has eight points and is a plus-six. He now has 36 points in 48 games in his rookie year.
The Generals too are in a fight in the standings, looking to capture the Eastern Conference’s top seed for the second consecutive season. Currently, they’re in fourth, but are only three points back of the top-seeded Brantford Bulldogs.
Oshawa picked up a pair of wins offset by one loss last weekend, most recently downing the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 in a shootout. Brooks Rogowski, Noah Powell, and Lauri Sinivuori scored for the Gennies.
Oshawa has owned the season series with the 67’s this season, winning six of the seven meetings. Ottawa’s lone win came in overtime back on September 29th.
