67’s drop in on Steelheads before holidays

The Ottawa 67’s have one more game on the docket before a well-earned holiday reprieve, and it goes down this afternoon.

Ottawa pays a visit to the Mississauga Steelheads, Sunday afternoon, looking to end their pre-break schedule with consecutive wins. Puck drop is set for 2:00pm, and fans can watch live locally on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls on the radio call for TSN 1200.

After a tough loss on Thursday, the 67’s rebounded last night, downing the Erie Otters by a score of 4-2. Luca Pinelli got them started, before three unanswered goals from Brad Gardiner, Kaleb Lawrence, and Brady Stonehouse, respectively lifted them to a 23-save victory for Max Donoso.

The Steelheads are looking for a bounce-back effort of their own, having enjoyed a day off on Saturday. They were in action on home ice on Friday, where despite a pair of goals from Porter Martone, and one from Angus MacDonell, the Trout had few answers in a 7-3 defeat. Ryerson Leenders did all he could in goal, making 35 saves.

It’s the second meeting of the season between these teams, with Ottawa winning 5-2 at home on November 18/
