67’s clash with new-look Generals
In the first leg of their home-and-home series this weekend, the Ottawa 67’s (14-16-3-5) host the Oshawa Generals (23-13-2-1) inside The Arena at TD Place on Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are available here.
If you’re not able to make it out, fear not, you won’t miss a beat with the broadcast being available on Rogers TV and CHLTV. Alternatively, you can hear Kenny Walls’ call on TSN 1200.
So far, 2025 hasn’t been too kind to the Barber Poles. In their four games, they’ve yet to find the win column, earning one point in an overtime loss to the Brantford Bulldogs on January 5th. Last time out, it was a loss to the Brampton Steelheads, despite a good start to the contest, with Caden Kelly scoring just over a minute in.
Before Thursday’s overage trade deadline, the Barber Poles dealt Brady Stonehouse to the Peterborough Petes in exchange for a fourth-round pick in 2027, and a sixth-round pick in 2028.
The Gennies have been hard at work adding players to their roster all season, acquiring Colby Barlow from the Owen Sound Attack early in the season, and landing Nashville Predators prospect Andrew Gibson on January 7th.
Oshawa’s last game, January 5th, resulted in a 7-0 dismantling of the Flint Firebirds, with first-star honours going to Ethan Toms, who scored a pair of goals and added an assist. Overage netminder Jacob Oster stopped all 29 shots he faced.
The Barber Poles took the first game of the season series back in September, but the Generals have taken the last two, including one in the shootout.

The playoff race is on. Have that mindset, every point matters in the end.
