67’s aim to advance in Brantford
Having put the Brantford Bulldogs on the ropes, the Ottawa 67’s are looking to finish the job this afternoon, inside the Brantford Civic Centre.
Up three games to one in the best-of-seven series, the Barber Poles can advance to Round 2 of the OHL Playoffs with a win in Game 5, today. It’s a 4:00pm puck drop from the Telephone City, and fans can watch live on Rogers TV, or stream on CHL TV. Kenny Walls has the radio call, beginning on TSN 1200, and moving to 580 CFRA at 5:00pm.
Sam Mayer had a game to remember, Thursday night, capping off a hat trick performance with the overtime winner, as the 67’s took Game 4 by a final score of 6-5 on home ice. Mayer was complemented by goals from Henry Mews, Bradley Horner, and Will Gerrior, while Collin MacKenzie made 37 saves between the pipes.
With the Madhouse on Market Street expected to be packed once again, however, Ottawa will need another standout performance in all phases of the game, to avoid a Game 6 tomorrow at home.
