67’s aim for better result against Brantford
Their School Day Game didn’t go the way the Ottawa 67’s had hoped, Wednesday morning, and now they’ll have a chance to rebound, but against a team that had their number last season.
Looking to respond after a 5-1 loss, the 67’s are back at TD Place, Friday night, facing off against the Brantford Bulldogs. Puck drop is set for 7:00pm and fans can watch live on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls on the call for TSN 1200.
Kaleb Lawrence scored the only Ottawa marker at Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday, as the Kingston Frontenacs rode a three-goal second period to a 5-1 victory. The 67’s were without netminder Collin MacKenzie (day to day), and Frankie Marrelli, who missed the contest due to illness.
Brantford was also in action on Sunday, where they picked up a 6-3 win on home ice, over the Sarnia Sting. Nick Landis continued his hot streak with a pair of goals, while Ottawa Senators prospect Jorian Donovan, Calvin Crombie, Luca testa, and Marek Vanacker helped to provide all the offence that rookie David Egorov needed in goal, for an 18-save victory.
This is the first meeting between the 67’s and Bulldogs since the former relocated from Hamilton to Brantford, during the offseason. After Ottawa won the first meeting, last season, the Bulldogs rattled off four straight victories, to take the season series in decisive fashion.
