5 reasons to spend Family Day with the 67’s
On Family Day Monday, the Ottawa 67’s are set for a big game against the North Bay Battalion inside The Arena at TD Place at 2 p.m., and it’s the perfect place for you and your family to spend the holiday. Here’s why:
Family bonding
This is the perfect chance to make memories with your family that will last a lifetime. Get the whole family together and invite all the aunts, uncles, grandparents, and great-grandparents for an afternoon filled with high-octane junior hockey, laughs, and smiles.
Nostalgia starts now, so why not start a new tradition of spending Family Day with the Barber Poles?
Brotherly love
It’s a massive game for both the 67’s and the Battalion, as the two clubs battle for the final playoff position in the Eastern Conference, but it gets even more interesting. For Ottawa’s Nathan Amidovski, it means just a little bit more, as he clashes with his older brother Lirim.
What could be more fitting than a pair of brothers battling it out on the ice in front of their friends and family on Family Day? That’s right, nothing.
Kid’s zone and entertainment
We know kids take a lot of work to keep entertained, but don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of options on Monday. Of course, they’ll have a fun hockey game to take in, but if that isn’t their cup of tea, there are plenty of activities around the concourse to keep them engaged.
There will be a kid’s zone with inflatables for your little one to burn off some excess energy, and around the rink, you’ll find entertainers dressed up as their favourite superheroes and princesses.
Snow day
The snow has been the talk of the town this week, but we’ve got a fun way to take advantage of the new powder. Bring your snowsuits, because we’re opening the doors to the TD Place field for a unique chance to have some fun outside.
Build a snowman or fort, or make snow angels. This is your winter wonderland, where you can flex your creative muscles.
Post-game skate
For those who have already registered, you can join us for a post-game skate on the same ice your 67’s heroes play on. Though this event is already sold out, keep an eye out for another skate later in the season.
