GAME PREVIEW: 67’s welcome Generals to kickstart weekend
OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa 67’s (32-9-1-2) will host the Oshawa Generals (10-31-1-1) Saturday at 3 p.m at TD Place, sponsored by Telus. Fans can also tune in to the game on Rogers TV Channel 22, via Flo Hockey, or listen to TSN 1200 for play-by-play from Kenny Walls.
The 67’s head into this game led by Cooper Foster, with a team lead of 45 points. He’s also tied for the lead in goals with 21 with Jasper Kuhta. On the blue line, expect a big game from former Oshawa Generals player and Buffalo Sabres prospect David Bedkowski, who has started to settle in nicely for the 67’s since his arrival from the Owen Sound Attack earlier this month.
The Generals remain led by Owen Griffin, who carries the team with 38 points. However, fans should also be on the lookout for the 6-foot-6, 2026 NHL draft prospect Brooks Rogowski, who is looking make up for lost time earlier in the season, having netted 25 points over 30 games so far. Defensively, overager Lucas Moore is their most prolific weapon, having 17 points this season, including four power-play goals.
Both teams have met four times this season, with the 67’s having won all four meetings thus far. Despite the Generals’ lower league placement, the 67’s have struggled to generate offence against Oshawa this season, having never scored more than three goals against Oshawa this season. Outside of Owen Griffin, Harrison Franssen remains the only other player on the Generals to have scored multiple points over the 67’s this season, having picked up a goal and an assist through four games. Meanwhile, Shaan Kingwell, Thomas Vandenberg, Brock Chitaroni, Filip Ekberg, Jasper Kuhta, Nic Whitehead, and Cooper Foster all have netted two points over Oshawa this season.
Capital connections:
The Generals have four players from the National Capital region, including leading playmaker Luke Posthumus (Nepean), 2026 NHL draft-eligible defenseman Brady Blaseg (Kanata), goaltender Jaden Cholette (Gloucester), and Ben Cormier (Ottawa).
Fans attending in person will have access to the Fan First Menu, featuring various snacks and treats for $3 to $5.
