67’s seek fourth straight win vs Battalion
Just 24 hours after securing their first 3-0 start since 2019, the Ottawa 67’s are looking to make it 4-0, when they host the North Bay Battalion in a playoff rematch, inside The Arena at TD Place. Puckdrop is set for 7:00pm ET, and fans can watch live on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls call the action on 580 CFRA.
Ottawa earned a hard-fought victory over the Kitchener Rangers, a night ago, as they took home a 5-3 win in the first battle of the Pinelli brothers. Luca Pinelli scored two assists, while Brady Stonehouse led the way with a pair of goals, with Vinzenz Rohrer, Brad Gardiner, and Cooper Foster also chipping in. Max Donoso made 27 saves to secure a third consecutive victory of his own.
The Battalion are 3-1 to start the campaign, having edged the Kingston Frontenacs in a shootout, a night ago at the Leon’s Centre. Ty Nelson and Matvey Petrov scored in regulation, with the latter combining with Kyle Jackson to win the shootout.
The Barber Poles will no doubt have a measure of revenge on their minds, as they face North Bay for the first time since the opening round of the 2022 playoffs. All but one game was decided by one goal, but it ended in a four-game victory for the Troops.
