67’s blanked in Mississauga; lose 1-0 to Steelheads

The Ottawa 67’s allowed only one goal Sunday afternoon in Mississauga, but couldn’t score any of their own during a 1-0 loss to the Steelheads in Ontario Hockey League action.
Centre Jason Smith was the only player to score, beating Ottawa goalie Leo Lazarev in the second period.
Jack Flinn made 27 saves for the Steelheads to post his OHL-leading sixth shutout of the season, and his second against Ottawa. In the regular-season opener back on September 25, Flinn stopped 29 Ottawa shots during a 7-0 victory.
The 67’s return to Ottawa and make the first appearance at home of 2016 on Friday, January 8 against the Peterborough Petes, followed by a Saturday matinee against the Steelheads at TD Place.
