67’s acquire Orléans native Patrick White from Sarnia for 4th round pick

The Ottawa 67’s bolstered their contingent of local players on Monday, acquiring overage forward Patrick White from the Sarnia Sting in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick.

White, a 20-year-old centre from Orléans, returns to his hometown after three years with the Sting after the club selected him in the fifth round of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection Draft. In his first three OHL seasons, White has scored 31 goals and 21 assists for 52 points in 142 games.

“He’s a local kid and a great team guy who has speed, thinks the game well and can play in all situations,” said 67’s Head Coach and General Manager Jeff Brown.

Before being drafted by the Sting, White spent a season with the Gloucester Rangers after playing Minor Bantam and Minor Midget with the Ottawa Jr. 67’s.
