CHLGOTW Preview: the Drakkar takes on the Sags on CHL TV
This week’s CHL Game of the Week sees us heading east for the fifth match up of the season between sharp shooting Justin Poirier’s Baie-Comeau Drakkar and the CHL Top 10’s eighth-ranked Chicoutimi Sagueneens.
Poirier – a Carolina Hurricanes prospects – sits second in the Q with 22 goals and his Drakkar has taken three of the first four matchups between the two clubs. It’s the Drakkar’s defence that’s been most impressive, allowing a CHL low 63 goals.
The Sags meanwhile have gone to extra time in 46% of their games, including three of four against the Drakkar. They’ll lean on Maxim Massé who’s in his fifth game back after missing six weeks with a sprained ankle.
