2024-25 CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott: Week 10
Today, the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) announced the Week 10 edition of its CHL Top-10 Rankings for the 2024-25 season.
Riding a CHL-best 18-game winning streak, the longest of any club this season, the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) continue to hold first place. Sitting second is the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), who rank first in the QMJHL thanks to six straight wins. Behind them in third place are the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL, who are one of just four teams in the CHL to have topped 20 wins during the 2024-25 campaign thus far.
Among some of the notable changes to this week’s rankings was the rise of two Western Hockey League (WHL) clubs – the Tri-City Americans and the Saskatoon Blades. Winners in 17 of their last 20 contests, the Americans find themselves in ninth, while the Blades are back in the Top-10 rankings for the first time since October 29 thanks to their current three-game winning streak.
The next rankings will be released the week of December 10, following the 11th week of regular season action in all three member leagues of the CHL.
CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 10
1. London Knights (OHL): Having strung together 18 victories in a row, the longest winning streak in the CHL this season, the London Knights (22-4-0-0) continue to hold down the No. 1 spot in the CHL Top-10 Rankings. The Knights’ winning streak dates back all the way to October 18, when they last lost to the defending Memorial Cup champion Saginaw Spirit 5-1. Having won three road games last week, London now holds a 13-1-0-0 record away from home, arguably the best road record in the CHL. Their 13 road wins actually rank as the most of any CHL club this season. San Jose Sharks prospect Sam Dickinson (15G-30A in 24 GP) continued his torrid start to the year, having collected an OHL-best 15 points (4G-11A) since November 18. Dickinson continues to lead all CHL defencemen in scoring with 45 points this season. New addition Blake Montgomery (5G-5A in 10 GP) has settled nicely in his new digs in London since arriving from the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. The Ottawa Senators prospect was named the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week on Monday after he registered four goals, four assists, and eight points over three games played last week. This week, the Knights will aim to reach 20 wins in a row when they welcome the Attack and the Generals to Canada Life Place.
2. Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL): Winners of six straight, the Drummondville Voltigeurs (21-5-1-1) are ranked within the top three for the sixth week in a row. With a QMJHL-best 21 wins this season, Drummondville is one of just four clubs in the CHL to have topped the 20-win plateau this season. Additionally, the Voltigeurs’ 68 goals allowed through 28 games is the fewest of any club in the CHL (alongside the No.3-ranked Moncton Wildcats), and their 2.43 goals allowed per game is the lowest average of any club in the CHL. Over the last two weeks, captain Luke Woodworth (7G-33A in 26 GP) has put together a five-game point streak with a goal and eight assists over that stretch. Woodworth continues to pace the QMJHL with 33 assists this season. Meanwhile, with four goals over his last three games, Sam Oliver (23G-11A in 28 GP) now leads the QMJHL with 23 goals during the 2023-24 campaign. Oliver has tallied goals in seven of his last nine contests. Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Ethan Gauthier (12G-19A in 22 GP) has also impressed as of late. Gauthier is on a five-game point streak, having collected two points in four of those contests. This week, the Voltigeurs will hit the road for contests in Shawinigan and Blainville-Boisbriand.
Games this week: @ Shawinigan (Dec. 6), @ Blainville-Boisbriand (Dec. 8)
3. Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL): For a ninth week in a row, the Moncton Wildcats (20-4-2-0) are ranked among the top three clubs of the CHL Top-10 Rankings. Over the last 10 days, the Wildcats have strung together three wins in a row. They’ve also earned victories in eight of their last 10. Moncton is now up to 20 wins on the year, making them one of only four teams in the CHL to have topped the 20-win plateau this season. Their 68 goals allowed over 26 games during the 2024-25 campaign sits tied for the lowest of any CHL club alongside the No.2-ranked Voltigeurs. Over the last two weeks, German forward Julius Sumpf (15G-21A in 26 GP) has continued to build upon his strong 2024-25 campaign. Sumpf has points in six straight games, having registered multi-point contests in five consecutive outings. With 13 points (7G-6A) over his last six games, Sumpf currently ranks among the top-10 scorers in the QMJHL with 36 points this season. Meanwhile, St. Louis Blues prospect Juraj Pekarcik (9G-18A in 24 GP) is on a nine-game point streak, having been held off the scoresheet only once over his last 17 contests dating back to October 18. Perkarcik’s current nine-game point streak is also the longest active streak in the QMJHL. This week, the Wildcats will head to Halifax to face the Mooseheads on Thursday before facing the Huskies and Sea Dogs this weekend.
Games this week: @ Halifax (Dec. 5), vs. Rouyn-Noranda (Dec. 7), @ Saint John (Dec. 8)
4. Everett Silvertips (WHL): Standing as the only team in the WHL to top the 20-win plateau this season, the Everett Silvertips (21-3-2-1) continue to rank in the top half of the CHL’s Top-10 Rankings. The Silvertips have picked up a point in 10 straight games (8-0-1-1), having gone unbeaten in regulation over that stretch. Everett’s three regulation losses this season are the fewest of any club in the CHL this season. Over the last couple of weeks, the Silvertips have been led by Dominik Rymon (12G-24A in 26 GP), Carter Bear (22G-23A in 25 GP), and Tyler MacKenzie (20G-22A in 27 GP). Rymon registered consecutive multi-point outings during the Silvertips 7-1 victories over the Giants and Blazers this past weekend. Rymon ultimately had a strong month of November, registering 23 points (7G-16A) in 13 games played. He was second on the Silvertips in scoring for the month, trailing only 2025 NHL Draft prospect Carter Bear, who led the team with 10 goals and 24 points in just 11 games played. Bear is currently on an eight-game point streak having registered seven multi-point outings during that stretch of games. Bear continues to sit among the top five scorers leaders in the WHL along with his teammate Tyler MacKenzie. MacKenzie capped off November with points in 11 of 13 games over the last month. MacKenzie has only been held off the scoresheet three times this season. This week, the Silvertips welcome the 2026 Memorial Cup host Kelowna Rockets and the Seattle Thunderbirds before they head to Wenatchee for a date with the Wild.
5. Rimouski Océanic (QMJHL): As the only team in the QMJHL to have won nine of their last 10 games, the Rimouski Océanic (19-7-0-1) are ranked among the top-five clubs in the CHL for the fifth time this season. With a pair of victories against the Remparts (5-2) and the No. 8-ranked Saguenéens (4-3 OT) at the Colisée Financière Sun Life last week, the Océanic improved their record on home ice to an impressive 10-2-0-0 this season. Over those two home games, Jacob Mathieu (20G-11A in 24 GP) registered four goals (scoring twice in each contest) and added one assist. Mathieu is up to 20 goals on the season, which places him among the top five goal scorers in the QMJHL during the 2024-25 campaign. Over Rimouski’s last six games, they have also gotten great production from 2025 NHL Draft prospect Quinn Kennedy (11G-5A in 27 GP). Kennedy has scored a goal in four of those six contests, and he’s registered six points (5G-1A) over that stretch. During the month of November, Kennedy’s eight goals ranked second on the Océanic behind only Mathieu, who scored 11 times over the last month. This week, Rimouski will travel to Chicoutimi to face the No. 8-ranked Saguenéens for a pair of games at the Centre Georges-Vézina.
Games this week: @ Chicoutimi (Dec. 6), @ Chicoutimi (Dec. 7)
6. Windsor Spitfires (OHL): Having won seven of their last 10, the Windsor Spitfires (19-6-2-0) find themselves in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the eighth week in a row. The Spits have earned points in eight of their last 10 contests (7-2-1-0), including a 7-2 victory at home against the reigning Memorial Cup champion Saginaw Spirit. With a 10-2-0-0 record on home ice, Windsor is one of just two teams in the OHL (along with the Kitchener Rangers) to have collected 10 wins on home ice this season. Leading the way for the Spitfires offensively continues to be Washington Capitals prospect Ilya Protas (16G-20A in 24 GP), who has registered three points or more in three of his last four games. Currently riding a five-game point streak, Protas has tallied four goals and nine assists over that stretch. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Kings prospect Liam Greentree (17G-27A in 26 GP) continues to rank among the top-five leading scorers in the OHL. Similarly to Protas, Greentree has three points or more in three of his last four appearances. The 18-year-old from Oshawa, Ont., registered a hat-trick in the Spitfires’ big 6-3 victory on Saturday in Owen Sound. Greentree has scored a goal in four of his last five games, as he has collected 11 points (7G-4A) over that stretch. This week, Windsor will look to improve its record at home when they welcome the No. 7-ranked Rangers and Spirit to the WFCU Centre.
7. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): Having strung together three wins in a row, the Kitchener Rangers (18-5-2-1) rank seventh in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. The Rangers’ .750 point percentage ranks as the second-best mark in the OHL, trailing only the London Knights (.846). Kitchener’s 10 victories on home ice also stand tied with the Spitfires for the most of any club in the OHL this season. Allowing just 2.85 goals per game through 26 games this season, the Rangers are one of the best defensive clubs in the OHL so far in 2024-25. Since coming over from the West Kelowna Warriors in the BCHL, Chicago Blackhawks prospect Jack Pridham (4G-6A in 7 GP) has not looked out of place with his new Rangers squad. Pridham has registered a point in six of seven games this season. Over the last two weeks, Pridham leads the Rangers in scoring with six points (3G-3A) over a stretch of five games. During that same period of time, goaltender Jackson Parsons (14-5-1-0 record, 2.12 GAA, .926 SV%, 3 SO in 20 GP) holds an OHL-best 1.49 GAA and .957 SV% in his last four starts dating back to November 18. Outside of this two-week period, Parsons continues to rank above all OHL goalies with a 2.12 GAA, .926 SV%, and three shutouts this season. This week, Kitchener will be busy as they welcome the Bulldogs and Greyhounds to the Aud before they travel south to face the No. 6-ranked Spitfires in Windsor this weekend.
8. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): Having earned a point in eight of 10 games over the month of November, including seven victories, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens (15-5-3-3) continue to hold down a spot in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for a fifth week in a row. The Saguenéens are one of just three teams in the QMJHL to have lost only five times in regulation this season. Specifically, on home ice, Chicoutimi has yet to lose in regulation as they have earned a point in 13 straight home games (9-0-2-2) this season. The Sags are actually one of just two teams in the CHL (along with the No.10-ranked Blades) who have yet to lose in regulation on home ice this season. Over the last two weeks, 2025 NHL Draft prospect Emmanuel Vermette (18G-17A in 26 GP) has led the way for Chicoutimi. Vermette has scored a goal in four straight outings, as he has totaled seven goals and one assist over that stretch. His eight points over the last couple of weeks have also helped catapult him to ninth in QMJHL scoring with a total of 35 points in 2024-25. Meanwhile, although he was held off the scoresheet in a 6-2 loss to the Remparts, 2025 NHL Draft prospect Nathan Lecompte (8G-16A in 26 GP) capped off November with a three-game point streak. Over November, no Chicoutimi skater had more points than Lecompte, who wrapped up the month with 14 points (6G-8A in 10 GP). This week, the Saguenéens will hit the road to Baie-Comeau on Wednesday before returning home for a pair of games against the No. 5-ranked Océanic.
Games this week: @ Baie-Comeau (Dec. 4), vs. Rimouski (Dec. 6), vs. Rimouski (Dec. 7)
9. Tri-City Americans (WHL): With victories in 17 of their last 20 games, the Tri-City Americans are up to ninth in this week’s rankings. The Americans currently hold a .720 point percentage on the year, which trails only Everett (.778) in the WHL. This past Saturday, in falling 5-3 to the Wild, Tri-City fell for only the second time on home ice this season. At the Toyota Center, the Americans have built a 10-2-0-0 record at home this season, something they will be hoping to improve on this week. Before he was held scoreless in that 5-3 loss to Wenatchee, Colorado Avalanche prospect Maxmillian Curran (7G-17A in 22 GP) had strung together four straight games with a pair of points. Over that stretch of four games, Curran tallied three goals and five assists to help his club secure victories in each of those contests. Meanwhile, rookie Gavin Garland (14G-15A in 24 GP) has continued his strong start to the season. Over November, Garland was held off the scoresheet on just two occasions as he picked up seven goals and 15 points (7G-8A) over 12 games – which were both the most of any rookie skater in the WHL in the last month. Garland also continues to lead all rookies in the WHL with 29 points this season. This week, the Americans have just one lone game on the schedule – a contest at home against the Giants on Friday night.
10. Saskatoon Blades (WHL): With three straight victories over the last 10 days, the Saskatoon Blades (17-6-1-1) have jumped back into the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the first time since October 29. The Blades have earned victories in six of their last seven games. They’ve also won nine straight at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. The Blades are actually one of just two teams in the CHL (along with the No.8-ranked Saguenéens) who have yet to lose in regulation on home ice this season. They hold an 11-0-1-0 record on home ice this season. Over the last month, the Blades have been led by forwards Ben Riche (15G-20A in 24 GP) and Brandon Lisowsky (12G-12A in 19 GP). Both Riche (6G-8A) and Lisowsky (8G-6A) finished November, having registered 14 points over the month. The pair have also been held off the scoresheet just three times this season, and they both capped off the month of November with three-game point streaks. Meanwhile, Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Evan Gardner (13-5-1-0 record, 2.55 GAA, .916 SV%, 1 SO in 20 GP)continues to provide a solid presence in the crease for Saskatoon. Last week, Gardner turned aside 49-of-53 shots to secure a pair of victories against the Hurricanes and Broncos. Gardner leads the WHL with a .916 SV% this season, while his 2.55 GAA ranks second among goaltenders in the WHL (min. 480 minutes). This week, Gardner and the Blades will look to remain unbeaten in regulation on home ice when they welcome the Rebels and Hitmen to SaskTel Centre.
