15 QMJHL prospects selected at 2024 NHL Entry Draft
The 2024 NHL Entry Draft concluded at the Las Vegas Sphere, with 15 QMJHL players being selected by NHL teams.
Defenseman Spencer Gill, the QMJHL’s highest-ranked prospect, was the league’s first player to be selected when his name was called by the Philadelphia Flyers at the 59th pick.
Ranked immediately behind Gill at 30th among North American prospects, Maxim Massé was the next QMJHL player to get drafted, when he was called on stage by the Anaheim Ducks with the 66th selection.
Among draft-eligible goaltenders, Jakub Milota was the only QMJHL netminder to hear his name called, becoming a fourth-round pick of the Nashville Predators, 99th overall.
In all, nine forwards, five defensemen and one goaltender from the QMJHL were drafted into the NHL this year. The Baie-Comeau Drakkar led the way among QMJHL franchises with four of its representatives being selected.
