Currie scores two in win over Remparts

The P.E.I. Rocket used the third period to its advantage, scoring three times, in a 5-3 win over the Quebec Remparts Wednesday night in Quebec City.
With the win, the Rocket improves to 14-10-2-0 on the season.
Rocket captain Josh Currie led the way for P.E.I. with two goals and a helper. Louick Marcotte chipped in with a goal and an assist.
Jason Houde had a goal and an assist for the Remparts.
The Rocket opened the scoring in the first period at 5:45 with Currie’s 22nd goal of the season. Tomas Pavelka and Matt Bursey drew the assists.
In the second period, the Remparts tied the game with a goal from Mikhail Grigorenko at 1:17. The Rocket took a 2-1 lead with a powerplay goal from Marcotte at 14:09. Alexis Pepin and Pavelka drew the assists.
In the third period, Currie put the Rocket up 3-1 with a shorthanded goal at 5:41. The Remparts responded with a powerplay goal from Houde at 6:50 to make it a 3-2 Rocket game. Axel Rioux tied the game at three with a shorthanded goal at 9:45.
Victor Provencher gave the Rocket a 4-3 leadat 12:28 with his 14th goal of the season. Currie and Jimmy Oligny assisted on the goal. Erik Robichaud put the Rocket up 5-3 with a goal at 16:34. Marcotte and Jack Nevins drew the assists.
Maxime Lagace picked up the win for the Rocket stopping 24 shots.
Zachary Fortin made 22 saves for the Remparts before being relieved by Francois Brassard who made three saves on four shots.
The Rocket returns home Saturday night against the Victoriaville Tigres. Saturday is also the beginning of the Rocket Christmas Celebration. There will be free pre-game munchies, drink specials all night and Vintage 2.0 will be playing in the lounge.
