Atlantic and Quebec teams set for 2006 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge
BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, December 1, 2005 (QMJHL) Hockey Quebec and the four branches of hockey in the Atlantic Provinces have announced their rosters for the upcoming 2006 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge which will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan from December 29th to January 4th.
Seven players from the QMJHL will be part of the Atlantic team coached by Troy Ryan of the Pictou County Weeks Crushers in the Junior A circuit, with the balance of the roster composed of players form other eastern junior hockey leagues. As for the Quebec team, it will include twelve players from the QMJHL’s ranks as well as ten players from the Midget AAA League. The team’s bench boss is Martin Bernard from the Magog Cantonniers (Midget AAA).
