Screaming Eagles Trade Bertrand To Océanic
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have traded forward Yannik Bertrand (1997-11-12) to the Rimouski Océanic. In exchange for Bertrand, the Océanic have traded an eight round draft choice in 2018 to the Screaming Eagles. Bertrand, a free agent signing by Cape Breton in 2015, spent two seasons with the Screaming Eagles, compiling 32 points in 93 games.
Following the Bertrand trade, Cape Breton holds the rights to the maximum three 20 year old players- forwards Phélix Martineau (1997-06-03) and Jordan Ty Fournier (1997-04-04) along with defenseman Ross MacDougall (1997-03-06).
Training camp for the Screaming Eagles begins on Thursday, August 17th, with two on ice sessions for rookies at the Membertou Sport & Wellness Centre.
