New season, new leaders
Whatever the sport, whatever the league, whatever the level, it’s always special to wear the captain’s “C” or the assistant’s “A” on your jersey. Here are those who will have the honor of doing so in the QMJHL in 2024-2025.
Quick facts:
- Blainville-Boisbriand’s Jonathan Fauchon, Drummondville’s Luke Woodworth and Rimouski’s Jacob Mathieu are currently the only three players to captain their respective teams for a second consecutive season.
- The Québec Remparts, Moncton Wildcats and Saint John Sea Dogs have yet to announce their leadership groups.
- After battling cancer last season, Jacob Newcombe has been named captain in Cape Breton. An example of courage, resilience and perseverance for all his teammates… and opponents.
- In Val-d’Or, the captain will be Nathan Brisson, and the assistants will be Nathan Baril and Nathan Drapeau. Three Nathans as leaders!
