Fan of the Week | Nancy Prendergast (Eagles)
Nancy Prendergast has been a season seat holder of the Cape Breton Eagles for over a decade and a half and she has enjoyed every minute of it.
Nancy admits that, at first, she found herself buying tickets to each game before quickly realizing that she needed to become a season ticket holder. She admits that things are a little different this year, but she is thankful that hockey is back as she truly loves the game.
Nancy attends every game with her husband Greg and their daughter Jessica, who was forced to stay home from University this year because of the pandemic. With a positive outlook in hand, Nancy said it’s exciting to have a season where the Eagles are only playing teams from the Maritimes. She has really enjoyed watching those rivalries develop.
When asked, Nancy admitted her fondest memories over the last 15 years all stem from different playoff runs. That is mainly why she was extremely sad to have the 2019-2020 season cut short, because she believed it could have been the best playoffs the Eagles had to offer in a long time.
Regardless, she and her family are thankful to be back at the Nest for the 2020-2021 season against all odds.
The Cape Breton Eagles and the rest of the QMJHL family would like to sincerely thank Nancy for her support, positivity and encouragement over the last 15 years!
