COVID-19 outbreak hits Armada
Following COVID-19 testing of Blainville-Boisbriand Armada players and staff, a total of eighteen active cases have been diagnosed.
The team’s activities remain suspended indefinitely. Players and staff have been placed in isolation for a period of 14 days.
“Although our sanitary and medical protocol is very strict and rigorous, we knew that COVID-19 was highly infectious and could eventually hit certain players and team staff members,” commented QMJHL Commissioner Gilles Courteau. Nevertheless, we are extremely confident that the measures contained in our contingency plan, which is currently deployed, will prove to be very efficient. We want to reiterate that the League and Blainville-Boisbriand Armada medical staffs have taken charge of the situation and will make all the necessary follow-ups. The League and its teams will continue to abide by Public Health Officials’ directives.”
