Wildcats make it 7 straight in Val-d’Or
The Wildcats winning streak reached seven games last night in Val-d’Or with a 6-2 road victory over the Foreurs.
Moncton exploded with four 3rd period goals to snap a 2-2 tie. Cats goaltender Keegan Warren was sensational with 34 saves and an assist — he was also named 1st Star. Miles Müller scored twice (8th, 9th), with single goals and the gamewinner to Nathan Grenier (2nd), Alex Mercier (5th), Sebastian Glas (3rd) and an empty-netter to Preston Lounsbury (5th).
Centreman Julius Sumpf was the setup man with three assists and Oliver Boutin chipped in with a pair of helpers. Not in the lineup were top scorer Yoan Loshing (injured), Etienne Morin (sick) along with Caleb Desnoyers and Shawn Carrier — both attending the World U17 Championships in Charlottetown/Summerside
The Cats remain atop the Maritime Division with a 12-3-1 record.

The road trip continues Thursday night in Rouyn-Noranda against the Huskies at 8pm, and winds up Saturday afternoon at 5pm in Gatineau against the Olympiques.
