Wildcats end Québec road trip on high note
The Wildcats finished their 3-game Québec trip with an impressive 7-4 triumph over the Gatineau Olympiques before 3,200 fans at Centre Slush Puppie on Saturday night.
Preston Lounsbury led the way with a hat-trick (6th, 7th, 8th) while Etienne Morin (5th) and Julius Sumpf (7th) each scored and added two assists. Dieppe’s Cooper Cormier potted his first QMJHL goal and Sebastian Glas netted his 4th of the season. Jacob Steinman recorded the win in goal with a strong 34 save outing. Moncton scored three powerplay goals and surge to a 13-4-1 record.
In a pre-game ceremony, The Olympiques honoured Moncton defenseman Olivier Boutin. Boutin played four seasons in Gatineau before coming to the Wildcats.

The Wildcats now return to the friendly confines of the Avenir Centre. Friday, November 10, the Wildcats will honour Canada’s Military with the annual Remembrance Day game against the Charlottetown Islanders at 7pm. November 12 will be another Sunday Funday against the visiting Shawinigan Cataractes at 4pm.
