Müller hat-trick powers Cats to victory over Moose
Miles Müller did all the scoring as the Wildcats defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 3-2 before a big crowd of 6,200 fans at Avenir Centre on Saturday night.
Müller reached the 30-goal plateau, with a goal in each period, helping the Cats end a short 2-game losing streak.
Goaltender Jacob Steinman was outstanding in goal, with key saves late in the third period with Halifax on a 6-on-4 powerplay + powerplay advantage. The Wildcats fired 34 shots at Mathis Rousseau. More importantly, the win gives Moncton a 4-point lead on Cape Breton, Rimouski and Chicoutimi in the Eastern Conference race for third place and home ice advantage.
