Titan Reduce Roster to 25

It has been busy in Titan Territory as your regional Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team work toward solidifying the 2023-24 roster.

Let’s just say it – we can’t wait for our amazing fans to be back in the rink, cheering on the team, and enjoying some quality time together as a community and as a hockey family. Hockey season is just around the corner, and we’re busy gearing-up for an unforgettable season along the bay!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had lots of talent hit the ice at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre as the team’s prospects try to earn a coveted spot on this year’s roster.

Since the 2023 training camp/pre-season kicked-off, the Titan hold a record of 2-2, following a pair of wins against the Moncton Wildcats, but failing to secure wins against Rimouski and Saint John.

Titan General Manager and Head Coach Gordie Dwyer announced three trades between the Titan, Quebec, Baie-Comeau and Blainville-Boisbriand on Sunday, Aug. 27. The first trade happened when forward Colby Huggan was traded to the Titan, and in return the Armada received an 8th round pick in the 2024 draft. Bathurst then traded a 12th round pick in the 2025 draft to the Remparts in exchange for forward Dawson Sharkey. Lastly, the Titan traded goalie Mathis Lacroix-Goulet to the Drakkar in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2024 draft.

Meanwhile, since the 2023 Titan Training Camp began, 37 players have either been returned to their respective teams, or left on their own accord to maintain their NCAA eligibility.

As to the latter, earlier this month forward Luc Legere and defenceman Wyatt Countway and Moussa Seydi left training camp by their own decision to maintain their NCAA eligibility.
