Titan fan $2,000 richer after winning inaugural Two Grand in Hand contest
Joe-Frederick Forbes had the golden ticket last Friday night at the Titan 2024 Home Opener. The Titan fan went home $2,000 richer after his ticket was randomly selected during the inaugural Two Grand in Hand contest.
At the 14-minute mark in the third period, Titan in Crowd Announcer, Jeff Doucet surprised Forbes in Section 7 with a giant cheque, announcing to the electric crowd he’d won the draw.
It was a thrilling and shocking moment in the stands.
“I was super excited at that moment and wasn’t sure if its true when I won that draw last Friday. Being the first ever winner of the draw was pretty cool, and I [had to] ask my friend to hit me if I was dreaming or not. It was a nice moment to experience,” Forbes said.
The contest is a new experience inspired by the Cape Breton Eagles ‘Ticket to Win It’ initiative last year. The Titan ‘Two Grand in Hand’ contest is a chance for one fan to win $2,000 every time Acadie-Bathurst meets or exceeds 2,000 tickets sold at every home game throughout the regular season.
All Titan Game Day tickets are scanned upon entry to the K.C. Irving Regional Centre. When 2,000 or more tickets are sold, the winning ticket will be randomly selected. The winner will be announced during the third period.
The 2024 Titan Home Opener on Sept. 20 saw more than 2,200 tickets sold!
Don’t forget to get your Titan tickets to the next home game. You could be the next winner of the Two Grand in Hand contest. Bathurst will host the Charlottetown Islanders Sunday, Sept. 29 at the KCI. Tickets can be purchased at the KCI Box Office or online at: ticketboutik.ca
Puck drop is 3 p.m.
