PRESS RELEASE: Keenan Reynolds named assistant coach
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan is pleased to announce a new hire among our Hockey Operations staff, as we welcome Assistant Coach, Keenan Reynolds.
Reynolds will join Titan General Manger and Head Coach, Gordie Dwyer and fellow Assistant Coach, Dylan Beston behind the bench for the 2024-25 Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League season.
Originally from Ottawa, Reynolds joins the Titan on the heels of an impactful coaching career in Ontario. Last season in his capacity as an associate coach, Reynolds helped guide the Nepean Raiders Jr A team to their best season in six years. He spent the previous two years with the Nepean Raiders U18 AAA squad, during which time they won the 2021 HEO U18 AAA league championship and provincial bronze medal. As an associate coach the following season, he helped lead the Raiders to within one game of back-to-back finals appearances. While with the Raiders organization, Reynolds was also a skills development coach with Edgemaker Hockey working daily with players at the junior, collegiate, and professional levels.
Reynolds played hockey in his youth and is a retired forward who competed in both the Ontario Hockey League (Owen Sound Attack and Flint Firebirds) and Central Canada Hockey League. Reynolds received a high-distinction degree in Political Science from Carleton University and is currently working toward an MBA at Queen’s University.
“Keenan is a dynamic and motivated individual with a coaching profile that aligns with the vision and the identity of our hockey club. His focus on skill development will drive individual performance and team success while preparing our players for the next level. We are excited to welcome Keenan to the Chaleur Region,” said Titan GM and Head Coach, Gordie Dwyer
The Titan kicked-off the 2024-25 season on a high note after downing the Cape Breton Eagles in back-to-back home games this past weekend. Acadie-Bathurst is on the road Saturday as they face-off against the Moncton Wildcats, before hosting the Charlottetown Islanders on Sunday at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
