Mooseheads score early in 4-2 win over Titan
BATHURST – It was another tough night for the Acadie-Bathurst Titan as they fell at the hands of the Halifax Mooseheads 4-1 at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre on Friday.
The Mooseheads took control early with a goal from Raphael Lavoie just 54 seconds in. Justin Barron and Benoit-Olivier Groulx added to the advantage later in the opening period to make it 3-0 after one. No goals were scored in the second period however Senna Peeters extended the score to 4-0 midway through the third period. The home team finally got on the board at 13:50 when Olivier Coulombe fired a backhand shot off the cross bar and in for his first career goal. Yan Aucoin had the lone helper.
Despite pulling the goal for an extra attacker, the Titan couldn’t make up any ground and suffered their 16th straight loss. Tristan Berube made 31 saves for the losing side.
