GAME RECAP: Titan lose on home ice to Islanders
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan lost to Charlottetown Sunday afternoon at home. The Islanders pulled away with a 7-3 win at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
Noah Laberge, Maddex Marmulak and Alexandre Lallier netted the three goals for Bathurst. Charlottetown goal scorers were Thomas Sirman, Pavel Simek, Kyle Powers, Jabez Seymour and Ross Campbell, the latter of whom had a hat-trick.
The Titan scored one goal in the first period (Laberge at 15:33), and a pair in the final frame (Marmulak at 2:12 and Lallier at 15:08) Sunday afternoon. The Islanders had two goals in the first (Sirman at 3:11 and Simek on the power play at 18:07) and one in the second (Powers at 19:05). Charlottetown registered four in the third (Seymour at 3:02 and Campbell at 1:05, 12:46 and 15:48) to win the game.
The visitors swept the Stars of the Game. Powers finished the night with two points and the third star and Nathan Leek had three assists and named second star. Campbell’s hat-trick and two assists earned him the first Star of the Game on Sunday.
