SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs are introducing two brand-new affordable Season Ticket options ahead of the 2026-27 season. Beginning tomorrow at noon, fans can take advantage of the No Frills Season Value Pass and the 13U Season Ticket Membership, two new ticket options created to provide some of the best value for Season Tickets in the CHL. The No Frills Season Value Pass offers fans the opportunity to attend all 32 Sea Dogs regular-season home games for $299, plus taxes and fees. That means fans can enjoy a full season of Sea Dogs hockey for less than $10 per game, providing the most affordable way to experience CHL hockey in Eastern Canada. The No Frills Season Value Pass allows fans to secure their seat for every regular-season home game in select upper-bowl corner sections without the added costs and benefits that come with a full Season Ticket Membership. The Sea Dogs are also introducing the 13U Season Ticket Membership, a new option created specifically for younger fans. For $168, plus taxes and fees ($200 all-in), children who are 13 or younger for the entire 2026-27 season can enjoy a full Season Ticket Membership experience. Sea Dogs announce 2026 Training Camp details

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs announced on Wednesday the roster for the team’s 2026 training camp, which begins this weekend at the Quispamsis qplex. Training camp begins Friday, August 21st with player registration. On-ice activities get underway on Saturday with rookies and free agent invites hitting the ice at 10:30 a.m. The first day of training camp will be open exclusively to 2026-27 Season Ticket Members as part of their benefits package, with the remainder of the schedule open to the general public. View the full schedule for phase one of camp here. The preseason schedule begins Wednesday, August 26th at 7:00 p.m. against the Moncton Wildcats at the Garcelon Civic Center in St. Stephen. Click here for the full preseason schedule. Among the 53 players reporting to camp, there are 13 free agent invites. All 10 of the team’s selections from the 2026 QMJHL Draft will be attending their first QMJHL training camp along with eight players drafted by the Sea Dogs in 2025. In total, the roster features 28 forwards, 16 defencemen, and nine goaltenders. Veterans and returning players will report to phase two of training camp on Monday, August 24th, joining the players that are selected to continue following the first phase of camp. Sea Dogs sign 2026 first-round CHL Import Draft pick Oliver Ozogany

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs have signed 2026 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft selection Oliver Ozogany to a QMJHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, the team announced Thursday. “We’re excited to welcome Oliver to the Sea Dogs. He is a player with a lot of potential,” said Sea Dogs president and general manager Trevor Georgie. “His experience playing as a 16-year-old in North America with Tri-City will help him in his transition to the CHL. He has been an important player for his country for many years now, and we look forward to him being important to us and our championship aspirations.” The 17-year-old was selected by the Sea Dogs in the first round, 44th overall, of the 2026 CHL Import Draft. Ozogany spent the 2025-26 season with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League, recording 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) in 56 games. He also represented Slovakia at the 2026 IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship in April and recently suited up for his country again at the 2026 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup in Edmonton. “I’m very happy to be starting a new chapter with the Sea Dogs,” said Ozogany. “I’m excited about my new team and everything that lies ahead. It will be another great experience and an opportunity to grow both as a player and as a person. TRADE: Sea Dogs acquire 20-year-old defenceman Julien Lanthier from Cataractes

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs have acquired 20-year-old defenceman Julien Lanthier from the Shawinigan Cataractes in exchange for a 2027 second-round pick (Charlottetown) and a conditional 2028 second-round pick, the team announced Monday. “Julien is one of the most experienced defencemen in the league,” said Sea Dogs President and General Manager Trevor Georgie. “We are adding a reliable, high-character, two-way defenceman with more than 30 playoff games of experience who wants to win.” A product of Saint-Eustache, Que., Lanthier was originally selected 10th overall by the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in the 2022 QMJHL Draft. The six-foot, 185-pound defenceman recorded 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 43 games with the Cataractes this season, while adding three points (one goal, two assists) in eight playoff games. Lanthier has appeared in 35 career QMJHL playoff games, collecting nine points (two goals, seven assists). “I am very excited for this new chapter,” said Lanthier. “I can't wait to join a team that is ready to win. I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates and the fans.” In a second trade, the Sea Dogs dealt forward William Yared to the Cataractes in exchange for a conditional 2029 second-round draft pick. “After discussions with William, the timing made sense for a fresh start for him,” said Georgie. “We wish him the best of luck with his new team and in taking the next step in his hockey career.”

Sea Dogs sign 2026 first-round CHL Import Draft pick Matyáš Čančík

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs have signed 2026 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft selection Matyáš Čančík to a QMJHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, the team announced Thursday. "We're excited to welcome Matyáš to the Sea Dogs," said Sea Dogs President and General Manager Trevor Georgie. "He's as tenacious as he is talented. He's a really mature young man, and we know he'll make the most of his opportunity. He's going to be fun for our fans to watch over the coming seasons." Čančík was selected by the Sea Dogs in the first round, 14th overall, of the 2026 CHL Import Draft. The 17-year-old forward recorded 44 points (22 goals, 22 assists) in 23 games with Bílí Tygři Liberec's U17 team during the 2025-26 season. He also appeared in 12 games with the club's U20 team, collecting eight points (one goal, seven assists). Internationally, Čančík represented Czechia at the 2025 U17 World Challenge in Truro, N.S., where he recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in four games. "Czechia has played a huge role in my development, and I'm really grateful for that," said Čančík. "But I feel it's time to take the next step in my career, and there's no better place to do that than Canada. I'm excited to join the Dogs. I am appreciative of the opportunity to be part of such a great franchise and can't wait to help the team win." Čančík will join the Sea Dogs for training camp in August ahead of the 2026-27 Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League season.

Mike Fines joins Sea Dogs as Head Equipment Manager

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs have hired Mike Fines as Head Equipment Manager, the team announced Friday. “We’re pleased to welcome Mike to the Sea Dogs,” said Sea Dogs President and General Manager Trevor Georgie. “He is very passionate about his craft. His attention to detail and commitment to supporting athletes made him a great fit for our organization.” Fines, a 28-year military veteran, brings more than 15 years of hockey equipment management experience to the Sea Dogs. He began his career in 2009 with a Halifax-area Junior A team while still serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. For the past 13 seasons, Fines has served as Equipment Manager for the men's and women's hockey programs at Saint Mary's University in U Sports. During his time with the Huskies, he worked with numerous players who went on to professional careers while supporting the day-to-day operations of two highly successful programs. “I am incredibly excited to join the Sea Dogs and work alongside such a dedicated group of professionals,” said Fines. “I’m really looking forward to supporting the team on and off the ice.” In recent years, Fines has also been involved with the Canadian Blind Hockey program, serving as an equipment manager at both the national and international levels.

Sea Dogs hire Daniel Nikandrov as assistant coach

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs have hired Daniel Nikandrov as an assistant coach, the team announced Thursday. “We are pleased to welcome Danny to the Sea Dogs,” said Sea Dogs president and general manager Trevor Georgie. “He came highly recommended as a player's coach who builds strong relationships and connects well with young athletes. Having served as a captain during his OHL career, he understands what it takes to compete at this level. Danny was excited about the opportunity to return to the East Coast, and we believe he'll be an outstanding fit alongside Jim, Guy, and the rest of our coaching staff.” Nikandrov comes to Saint John after two seasons as an assistant coach with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League. Prior to joining the Greyhounds, he spent four seasons as an assistant coach at the U Sports level, three with the York University Lions and one with the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men. “I am very thankful for the opportunity to join the Sea Dogs,” said Nikandrov. “I'm looking forward to integrating into the community, working with a highly talented group of players and pushing for a championship with a renowned coaching staff.” As a player, Nikandrov played four seasons in the OHL, from 2012-13 to 2015-16, primarily with the Sarnia Sting, where he served as both an assistant captain and captain, before finishing his major junior career with the Peterborough Petes. He went on to play three seasons at York University before beginning his coaching career.

Top 2027 NHL Draft prospect Jamie Glance signs with Sea Dogs

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs have signed forward Jamie Glance to a QMJHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, the team announced Saturday. "We're thrilled to welcome Jamie to the Sea Dogs," said Sea Dogs president and general manager Trevor Georgie. "Jamie is an offensive weapon. He is a pure goal-scorer. He will be a great addition to our team and elevate others around him. He wants to win in Saint John, and after completing two years with the NTDP, this is the natural next step for him." Glance joins the Sea Dogs following the completion of his two-year commitment with USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, where he led the U.S. National Under-18 Team in scoring with 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 points in 62 games during the 2025-26 season. He has also been selected to participate in USA Hockey's National Junior Evaluation Camp and the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase in July. "I'm excited to join the Sea Dogs," said Glance. "I want to play a big part in their journey to win another championship. I can't wait to get started." Glance represented the United States at the 2026 IIHF U18 World Championship, where he recorded four points (one goal, three assists) in five games. The five-foot-11, 185-pound forward from Stratham, N.H., is committed to Boston University and enters the 2026-27 season as one of the top American prospects eligible for the 2027 NHL Draft. Prior to joining the NTDP, Glance played at Mount St. Charles Academy, recording 188 points (98 goals, 90 assists) in 115 games over two seasons. He was selected 95th overall by the Sea Dogs in the sixth round of the 2024 QMJHL Draft.

Seventeen-year-old Czech forward Matyáš Čančík was the team's first selection, 14th overall. The five-foot-nine, 172-pound winger recorded 44 points (22 goals, 22 assists) in 23 games with Bílí Tygři Liberec's U17 team and added eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 12 games with the club's U20 team. Čančík also represented Czechia at the 2025 U17 World Challenge in Truro, N.S., where he recorded two points (one goal, one assist) in four games. With their second pick in the first round, 44th overall, the Sea Dogs selected Slovak forward Oliver Ozogany. The six-foot-three, 190-pound left winger spent this past season with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League, recording 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) in 56 games. Ozogany also represented Slovakia at the 2026 IIHF U18 Men's World Championship as a 16-year-old, recording one point in five games. Finnish defenceman and Los Angeles Kings prospect Vertti Svensk was the Sea Dogs' second-round selection, 66th overall. The six-foot-one, 168-pound defenceman recorded 31 points (three goals, 28 assists) in 33 games with SaiPa's U20 team. The 18-year-old also appeared in 18 games with SaiPa of Liiga, Finland's top professional league. Svensk was selected by the Kings in the fifth round of the 2026 NHL Draft.
