RECAP: Road swing ends with loss to Armada
BOISBRIAND, QC – The Saint John Sea Dogs fell 5-1 to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Saturday, wrapping up their three-game Quebec road trip.
Vincent Collard struck early at 2:51, burying Mathieu Taillefer’s rebound. Maël Lavigne made it 2-0 at 9:33, and Mateo Nobert pushed it to 3-0 at 18:40.
A tic-tac-toe play at 4:20 of the second between Vincent Desjardins, Bill Zonnon, and Jan Golicic put the Armada up 4-0. At 14:13, William Yared broke the ice for Saint John, knocking home Dylan Rozzi’s rebound on the power play. The Armada led 4-1 after two, though the Sea Dogs held a 21-19 edge in shots.
With less than two minutes to play, Zonnon made it 5-1 to close the night. Final shots were 30-26 for Saint John.
