RECAP: Joseph nets winner as Sea Dogs sink Drakkar
BAIE-COMEAU, QC – The Saint John Sea Dogs finally found a way to snap their losing streak with a 4-3 overtime win Wednesday night against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar at Centre sportif Alcoa. Alexis Joseph scored twice, including the overtime winner, to earn first star honours.
Baie-Comeau grabbed a 2-0 lead late in the first with goals at 12:54 and 13:47. The Drakkar made it 3-0 at 2:19 of the second, but Saint John pushed back. Dylan Rozzi put the Dogs on the board at 13:16 on a setup from Elliot Dubé and Everett Baldwin. Joseph cut it to 3-2 at 15:06, finishing a feed from Zach Morin.
Saint John tied it 3–3 early in the third when Angelo Fullerton scored on a breakaway at 2:30 from Alex Donovan and Olivier Groulx.
In overtime, the Sea Dogs went to the man advantage after a slashing call to Kieran Litterick and Joseph wired home the winner at 2:08 to seal it with assists going to Olivier Duhamel and Max Vilen.
