RECAP: Back-and-forth game ends in overtime loss to Regiment
SAINT JOHN, N.B. – The Saint John Sea Dogs battled hard Sunday afternoon, forcing overtime but ultimately falling 4-3 to the Newfoundland Regiment at TD Station.
Everett Baldwin blew one past Louis-Antoine Denault at 3:20 for the only goal of the first period, assisted by Alexis Joseph. Saint John led 1-0 after one but trailed 9-8 in shots.
At 9:22 of the second, William Yared buried Olivers Murnieks’ rebound on the power play to go up 2-0. Marek Danicek then tied it with goals at 9:34 and 11:29. Saint John heavily outshot Newfoundland 21-6 in the period.
