3 Things to Watch: Titan vs. Mooseheads
In order to get you set up for tonight’s game against the Halifax Mooseheads, here are three things to watch:
1) A 4 point game
With a two point difference separating both teams in the standings, the Titan will seek to continue their march back into the playoffs. The Titan’s recent play has seen them pick up a total of nine points in their last seven games and put them right back into the heart of the playoff race.
So far this season, the two teams have played four games against each other, with an even split of two wins going to each side.
2) Reilly “The Answer” Pickard
A Halifax native himself, Titan goaltender Reilly Pickard has had a lot of success playing against the Mooseheads. In four games this season, Pickard has 2.08 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage. These two numbers would respectively be the best and second best numbers he has posted against any team this season.
Pickard’s finest effort against the Mooseheads came on September 18th in Halifax, when the young netminder recorded a 26 save shutout.
3) $3,000 for the winning seat
In a season devoted to Generation Hockey fans being at the heart of the action, the winning seat contest will continue tonight with the total jackpot now reaching $3,000.
If total attendance reaches 2,500 people, the amount will be given out, but if attendance is below, the prize amount will be raised to $4,000 for the next game. Odds of winning Lotto Max are 1 in 85,900,584, but odds of winning at the Titan game are about 1 in 2,500. You got to like those odds.
Tickets for tonight as well as other home games are available at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre Box Office, by phone at 549-3200 or 1-877-549-3200 or online at admission.com.
