3 Things to Watch: Titan vs. Moncton
In order to get you set up for tonight’s game against the Moncton Wildcats, here are three things to watch:
1) The Cavemen
The line of Boivin, Morand and Kuznetsov, or “The Cavemen” as they are affectionately called (as Christophe + Antoine + Vladimir = Electric!), has been just that. Indeed, Boivin has picked up 14 points in his last nine game, while Morand has a total of nine points in six outings and Kuznetsov has 13 in his last 13.
These performance are all the more welcomed as each player is eligible to be back with the team next season, and if they can find each other on the ice so well now, it’s hard not to be excited about both the present and future!
2) Old rivals in a playoff atmosphere
Forever rivals, the Wildcats and the Titan come into this game with identical, stellar records of six wins, three losses and one overtime loss in their last 10 games.
This sets up quite an interesting match-up, as not only will these two teams battle for position in the standings (with both teams needing the win), but tonight’s game will be the front end of a home-at-home series, with the second game due to take place on Sunday. Home-at-home series always seem to have a way of creating a playoff atmosphere on the ice, as the players will be seeing a lot of each other in a short period of time.
And in a match-up of eternal rivals, the Titan will be counting on Generation Hockey to make the K.-C. Irving Regional Centre a loud place to play.
3) $5,000 for the winning seat
In a season devoted to Generation Hockey fans being at the heart of the action, the winning seat contest will continue tonight with the total jackpot now reaching $5,000.
If total attendance reaches 2,500 people, the amount will be given out. Considering the odds of winning Lotto Max are 1 in 85,900,584, but the ones at the Titan game are about 1 in 2,500, you got to like the odds at the rink!
