TRANSACTION: Benjamin Tardif to Victoriaville, Edouard Ouellet to Sherbrooke
The Sherbrooke Phoenix confirms the deal sending 20-year-old forward Benjamin Tardif to Victoriaville and the arrival of Édouard Ouellet to Sherbrooke. In return, the Phoenix also obtain a 2nd round pick in 2021, 6th round pcik in 2021 and 4th round pick in 2022. Stéphane Julien also sends an 8th round pick in 2022 pick to the Tigers.

Drafted in the 2nd round (25th overall) of 2016, Benjamin Tardif joined the Phoenix in his first year. He will therefore have spent 4 and a half seasons in Sherbrooke making him the forward who has played the most games to date in the Phoenix uniform with 252 games to his record. The assistant captain totaled 157 points in 252 games. The one nicknamed the “Late Train”, moreover, played a key role in the conquest of 2019-2020 with 59 points in 49 games and only 10 penalty minutes.

To complete his roster, Stéphane Julien welcomes 20-year-old right winger Édouard Ouellet to his ranks. After 3 and a half seasons spent with the Tigers, the native of La Pocatière has 43 points in 179 games. Welcome to Sherbrooke Édouard !
