Scholastic Players of the Month | Benjamin Tardif Profile
Benjamin Tardif is the Sherbrooke Phoenix’s Scholastic Player of the Month, an honor that is full deserved! The forward has just obtained his degree from Cégep de Sherbrooke after a few inspiring years in the Social Sciences program, Business profile.
For Tardif, it all began back at Du Triolet high school when he had a very demanding year, filled with different challenges, in what was then his first season in the Q. In year two, Benjamin started his college life by signing up for the Natural Sciences program. One year later, he opted to switch to Social Sciences, Business profile.
That change of scenery proved to be very beneficial for Tardif, he even got to lay his hands on Sherbrooke’s Academic Persistence Award following the 2019-2020 season. No matter the day or time, he’s always been a student-athlete that has been greatly appreciated by both his teachers and teammates.
“Personally, I’m very proud of Benjamin and I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to work by his side the last four years”, mentions Clovis Langlois-Boucher, the Phoenix’s Academic Advisor. “Benjamin has become a young man that is now a leader in our society and for our local kids. It’s an honor for the entire Sherbrooke Phoenix organization.”
A second round pick of the Phoenix back in 2016, Tardif, who spent the first four seasons of his junior career in Sherbrooke, was dealt to the Victoriaville Tigres last week.
