Game to forget in the bubble #2 !
The Phoenix were playing their 4th bubble game in Drummondville and were unable to claim their first win within this protected environment “bubble”. They suffered a shutout in this second clash in a week against the Voltigeurs. Steve Hartley’s team ran away with a 4-0 win.
Drummondville opened the scoring with a goal from Michael Little (Édouard Charron and Tristan Roy). This is Little’s first career goal in the QMJHL. In the second period, Jérémy Lapointe (Charlie Da Fonseca and Jacob Dion) doubled his team’s lead. A scrum breaks out in the second period. Result: Olivier Crête-Belzile is penalized for a hit from behind, Edouard Charron gets 5 minutes for fighting and Xavier Parent is given 5 for fighting, 10minute misconduct and a game misconduct. The captain will be back in the 3rd period.
The Voltigeurs add a couple more in the 3rd. William Dufour (Xavier Simoneau) widens the gap into an empty net. Justin Côté (Alexis Mortin and Luke Woodworth) drives homea fourth to make it 4-0 Drummondville.
