Administrative staff of teams recognized by the League
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s front office honoured the exceptional contributions of administrative staffs during the annual business operations meeting held in Quebec City.
The prestigious Jean-Sawyer Trophy, which recognizes the top marketing team of the season in the QMJHL, was awarded to the Quebec Remparts. The selection criteria includes media relations, involvement within different league committees, a strong social media presence, high attendance numbers, high-quality webcasting, and sponsorship delivery. The Sherbrooke Phœnix and the Rimouski Océanic were the two other finalists for the award.
In recognition of his leadership and management skills, Martin Paquet of the Victoriaville Tigres received the John-Horman Trophy. This award recognizes the Executive of the Year, and considers their management acumen, collaboration with the Commissioner’s Office, understanding of financial regulations and operations, and efforts in enhancing the image of their organization as well as the league’s. Jean-Philippe Bérubé of the Rimouski Océanic and Gilles Bérubé of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies were the other nominees for this award.

The selection committee evaluated each of the academic advisors based on their leadership skills, their ability to foster positive relationships with players, parents, team management and schools, and their creativity in finding optimal solutions for players. The advisors’ respect for the league’s education policy and their collaborative efforts with the league’s staff were also crucial factors in the decision-making process.
The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League would like to congratulate all the deserving winners and nominees for their remarkable contributions to the league’s success during this past season.
