A new Director at the Phoenix

Sherbrooke, May 19, 2021 – The Sherbrooke Phoenix is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Josée Desjardins as the Executive Director of the club.

Ms. Desjardins joins the Phoenix with a strong background in management and business development. Having worked at the Breakfast Club of Canada for more than 10 years, including as Vice-President of Business Development and Government Affairs, she helped to build an impressive network across Canada.

The world of hockey is nothing new to Josee. She spent almost five years working for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) as Marketing and Events Director. During her time at the QMJHL, her main responsibilities were in marketing, sponsorship and events. In addition to having worked at the QMJHL, Josée has always kept close ties to the world of hockey, which she considers one of her “first loves.”

Her recent career record, paired with her return to Quebec, rekindled her desire to return to hockey. She will officially enter position on June 1st, just in time to help the Phoenix prepare for their 10^th official season. She arrives at the Phoenix with great ambitions to expand the reach and the reputation of the Phoenix.

I intend to take up this great challenge with determination and joy!”, says Ms. Desjardins of her appointment.

The arrival of Josée Desjardins fits in perfectly with the winds of change blowing through the club, with the team having recently won the lottery draw for the next QMJHL Entry Draft and the launch of the 10th year anniversary campaign.
