These appointments reflect the organization\u2019s commitment to building a leadership team that is experienced, passionate, and dedicated to player development as well as the success of the Olympiques, both in the short and long term.<\/p>\n

Maxime Talbot Named Senior Advisor to Hockey Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n

A former Olympiques player and Stanley Cup champion, Maxime Talbot will continue his involvement with the organization in an expanded role as Senior Advisor to Hockey Operations. His responsibilities will include supporting the hockey department in strategic decision-making, player evaluation, recruitment, and fostering a culture of performance within the organization.<\/p>\n

Known for his professionalism, vision, and ability to build competitive teams, Charpentier will be responsible for continuing the organization\u2019s development by focusing on the draft, player recruitment, player development, and building a team that aspires to the highest honors.<\/p>\n

After serving as interim head coach with professionalism, Serge Beausoleil has been officially named head coach of the Gatineau Olympiques. With his extensive experience behind the bench and his in-depth knowledge of the Maritimes Qu\u00e9bec Junior Hockey League, he will continue the work begun with the players, with the goal of building a competitive, disciplined team that is proud to represent Gatineau.<\/p>\n

GATINEAU <\/strong>\u2014 On June 30, the Olympiques selected two players in the Canadian Hockey League\u2019s international draft.<\/p>\n

The Olympiques held the 8th and 41st picks in the first round.<\/p>\n

With the 8th pick, the organization\u2019s management selected Ilya Pautov, a 20-year-old Russian forward.<\/p>\n

Pautov was also a sixth-round pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2024 NHL Draft.<\/p>\n

In addition, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound forward signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Flyers on June 1.<\/p>\n

Born in Novosibirsk, Pautov played in the MHL (Russian junior league) with CSKA Moscow, where he recorded 23 points in 30 games.<\/p>\n

With the 41st overall pick, acquired in a trade with the Drummondville Voltigeurs on June 29, the Olympiques selected Artem Glukhikh, a 16-year-old Russian forward.<\/p>\n

The young forward, who stands 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 163 pounds, has been playing in the United States for several years, where he has appeared in 77 games for the New Jersey Rockets U16 AAA and racked up an impressive 37 goals and 85 assists for a total of 122 points.<\/p>\n

BOUCHERVILLE<\/strong> – The QMJHL will unveil its 2026-2027 schedule in the coming days, and to whet your appetite, it announced today that there will be eight interleague games against the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).<\/p>\n

That\u2019s double the number from last season, when the Gatineau Olympiques and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies faced off against the Ottawa 67\u2019s and the Sudbury Wolves, respectively, in a home-and-away series.<\/p>\n

Those same two matchups will return this season, while the Val-d\u2019Or Foreurs will face the North Bay Battalion, and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada will go head-to-head with the Kingston Frontenacs, again in home-and-away series.<\/p>\n

The first interleague games will take place on Sunday, November 1, and the final game, between Sudbury and Rouyn-Noranda, will be played on Sunday, February 21.<\/p>\n

Known for his skating ability, hockey sense, and offensive upside, Murphy will add depth and talent to the Olympiques’ defensive corps.<\/p>\n

GATINEAU<\/strong> – The Gatineau Olympiques announced Sunday that forward Nicolas Petrut will be out indefinitely due to an upper-body injury.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old forward had to leave Game 5 of the first-round series on April 3 against the Huskies in Rouyn-Noranda.<\/p>\n

His condition is being reevaluated on a daily basis.<\/p>\n
