The Olympiques sign defenseman Zachary Roussy
GATINEAU – The Gatineau Olympiques announced Tuesday that they have signed 17-year-old defenseman Zachary Roussy.
“We’re very proud to add a player of Zachary’s calibre to our team. He had a great season in the collegiate ranks. This is excellent news for the organization, as we’re adding a talented player to our defensive brigade,” said General Manager Serge Beausoleil.
A native of Chambly, Roussy was a 6th-round pick (102nd overall) in the 2024 QMJHL auction. The six-foot-one defenseman lined up last season with Bishop’s College in the Prep School Hockey Federation (PSHF). He was voted the circuit’s top defenseman for the 2024-2025 season.
