The Gatineau Olympiques complete their hockey organization with three key nominations
GATINEAU – The Gatineau Olympiques are pleased to announce three key nominations within their hockey operations department ahead of the 2026–2027 season. The organization has confirmed the appointment of Maxime Talbot as senior advisor to hockey operations, Sébastien Charpentier as general manager, and Serge Beausoleil as head coach.
These appointments reflect the organization’s commitment to building a leadership team that is experienced, passionate, and dedicated to player development as well as the success of the Olympiques, both in the short and long term.

Maxime Talbot Named Senior Advisor to Hockey Operations
A former Olympiques player and Stanley Cup champion, Maxime Talbot will continue his involvement with the organization in an expanded role as Senior Advisor to Hockey Operations. His responsibilities will include supporting the hockey department in strategic decision-making, player evaluation, recruitment, and fostering a culture of performance within the organization.
“We are extremely fortunate to be able to count on Maxime’s experience and leadership. His background in junior and professional hockey, combined with his dedication to the Olympiques, is an exceptional asset for our organization,” said François Beaudry, chairman of the Olympiques’ board of directors.

Sébastien Charpentier Takes the Lead as General Manager
The Olympiques have also appointed Sébastien Charpentier as general manager, who will oversee all of the team’s hockey operations. Known for his professionalism, vision, and ability to build competitive teams, Charpentier will be responsible for continuing the organization’s development by focusing on the draft, player recruitment, player development, and building a team that aspires to the highest honors.

Serge Beausoleil Confirmed as Head Coach
After serving as interim head coach with professionalism, Serge Beausoleil has been officially named head coach of the Gatineau Olympiques. With his extensive experience behind the bench and his in-depth knowledge of the Maritimes Québec Junior Hockey League, he will continue the work begun with the players, with the goal of building a competitive, disciplined team that is proud to represent Gatineau.

A New Chapter for the Olympiques
With this new hockey structure, the Gatineau Olympiques reaffirm their commitment to building a solid, high-performing, and forward-looking organization.
The entire organization welcomes Sébastien Charpentier to his new role and congratulates Maxime Talbot and Serge Beausoleil on their appointments.
