GATINEAU – The Gatineau Olympiques organization announced Tuesday that forward Jérémie Minville has been named captain.
Minville succeeds Charles Boutin as captain of the Olympiques.
Lukas Landry, Justin Boisselle and Jan Golicic will act as assistants. The Drummonville-born forward was acquired in a trade in the summer of 2023.
Since making his QMJHL debut in the 2021-2022 season with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, Minville has scored 48 goals in 182 regular-season games. Number 27’s 2023-2024 season was by far his best ever, with 79 points (38 goals and 41 assists) in 68 games.
