Founded in 1994, the Halifax Mooseheads organization has been actively involved in the community. Throughout the regular season, players take time out of their busy schedule to appreciate how fortunate they are. The players take their roles in the community very seriously and enjoy spending time with their young fans.
School Visits
Throughout the regular season, Mooseheads players visit local schools, on occasion accompanied by officers from the One-on-One program. These visits are truly beneficial for both the students and the players. During these visits, students and teachers have the opportunity to ask the players questions. If the layout and timing works, we then try to play a little game with the students, and finish with some autographs.
Minor Hockey Visits
Throughout the regular season, Mooseheads players will regularly visit local Minor Hockey sessions throughout HRM. Players will either surprise the group, or come and help tie skates, and either help the coach or simply jump in and practice with the team. These events are always a blast, and our players always look forward to these visits.
Special Player Appearances
In addition to the many community outreach programs offered by the Halifax Mooseheads, players will be making appearances at different functions and charity events to show support for various worthwhile causes. The organization provides players with their jerseys or team polo to wear so that they are easily identifiable as well as items for autographs. If you are interested in having some of the Mooseheads at your special event, please fill out the Player Appearance Request application below.
