Islanders take the #10 spot in this week’s CHL rankings: Week 7
The Canadian Hockey League (CHL) today unveiled its Week 7 edition of the CHL Top-10 Rankings presented by Delta Hotels by Marriott for the 2025-26 season.
The Brantford Bulldogs, Everett Silvertips, and Windsor Spitfires anchor the top of the CHL Top-10 Rankings this week. Brantford holds firm at No. 1 for the fourth straight week, led by Seattle Kraken prospect Jake O’Brien — the CHL’s scoring leader — and Chicago Blackhawks prospect Marek Vanacker, who continues to pace the OHL in goals. Just behind them, Everett returns to No. 2 on the strength of WHL goal co-leader Shea Busch and goaltender Raiden LeGall (11-0-1), as the Silvertips remain the only WHL club with 13 wins and boast one of the CHL’s best goal differentials. Meanwhile, Windsor sits at No. 3, powered by Los Angeles Kings prospect Liam Greentree, who recorded his first hat trick of the season last week, and CHL scoring-leading defenceman Carson Woodall, who continues to drive play from the blue line.
Continuing their rise, the Chicoutimi Saguenéens climb for a fourth straight week to No. 4, driven by the strong two-way play of Nathan Lecompte and the steady production of Washington Capitals prospect Maxim Schäfer, alongside a penalty kill operating above 90%. The Prince Albert Raiders also move up again, now at No. 7, with San Jose Sharks prospect Max Heise and top 2026 NHL Draft prospect Daxon Rudolph leading a team that remains unbeaten in regulation and among the CHL’s toughest defensive squads. Making their season debut in the rankings, the Calgary Hitmen enter at No. 9, riding a seven-game point streak behind WHL goaltending leader Eric Tu and the play-driving efforts of Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Kale Dach.

CHL Top-10 Rankings – Week 7
1. Brantford Bulldogs (OHL): The Brantford Bulldogs (13-0-2-1) remain the unanimous No. 1 team in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for a fourth straight week, powered by a league-best 16-game point streak to open the 2025-26 season. The Bulldogs are the lone OHL team without a regulation loss and one of just two CHL clubs still unbeaten through 60 minutes, backed by the CHL’s top goal differential (+49), the highest goals-per-game average (5.50), and one of only two power plays operating above 40% this season. Seattle Kraken prospect and captain Jake O’Brien (8G-24A in 14 GP) continues to pace the CHL scoring race with 32 points after extending his point streak to 10 games last week, while Chicago Blackhawks prospect Marek Vanacker (15G-7A in 14 GP) leads the OHL with 15 goals following another three-game scoring stretch. Brantford heads into a three-game week with visits to Peterborough and Oshawa before returning home to host Ottawa on Sunday.
Games this week: @ Peterborough (Nov. 6), @ Oshawa (Nov. 7), vs. Ottawa (Nov. 9)
2. Everett Silvertips (WHL): The Everett Silvertips (13-1-1-0) move back up to No. 2 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after a pair of convincing road wins over Kamloops (6-3) and Spokane (7-2). Everett is the lone 13-win team in the WHL and one of just three clubs across the CHL to reach that mark, while also boasting the WHL’s best goal differential (+29), a figure that ranks third in the entire CHL. The Silvertips continue to lead the WHL in scoring at 4.40 goals per game and enter the week having won nine of their last 10 contests. Florida Panthers prospect Shea Busch (13G-5A in 12 GP) scored three times across the two victories and now leads the WHL in goals, finding the back of the net in 10 of 12 games this season. In goal, Raiden LeGall improved to 11-0-1, remaining unbeaten in regulation while ranking among the WHL’s top netminders in both goals-against average (2.11) and save percentage (.921). The Silvertips return home this week to host Prince George before heading back on the road for matchups in Kamloops and Vancouver.
Games this week: vs. Prince George (Nov. 7), @ Kamloops (Nov. 8), @ Vancouver (Nov. 10)
3. Windsor Spitfires (OHL): The Windsor Spitfires (13-3-1-1) slip one spot to No. 3 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after splitting a pair of road games in Michigan, falling 6-3 in Saginaw despite a 43–28 shot advantage before responding with a 5-2 win in Flint. Windsor remains one of just three CHL teams to reach 13 wins this season and continues to sit among the CHL’s elite, backed by a +27 goal differential and top-tier special teams — their power play ranks third in the OHL at 32.9%, while their penalty kill leads the league at 88.4%. Los Angeles Kings prospect Liam Greentree (9G-7A in 10 GP) recorded his first hat trick of the season in the win over Flint, while 19-year-old blueliner Carson Woodall (3G-22A in 18 GP) extended his point streak to 11 games and continues to lead all CHL defencemen with 25 points. The Spitfires return home this week for matchups against Kingston and Brampton as they look to build on their strong start.
Games this week: vs. Kingston (Nov. 6), vs. Brampton (Nov. 8)
4. Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL): Riding a seven-game point streak (5-0-1-1), the Chicoutimi Saguenéens (9-2-1-1) continue their steady climb up the CHL Top 10, rising for the fourth straight week to reach No. 4. Chicoutimi opened the week with a tight 2-1 overtime loss to the Drummondville Voltigeurs before rebounding with a 4-3 win over Sherbrooke. Special teams have been a major driver of their early-season success — the Saguenéens own the second-best power play in the QMJHL (30.9%) and are the only team in the CHL operating above 90% on the penalty kill. Defensively, Chicoutimi continues to be one of the toughest teams to break through, allowing just 2.43 goals per game — the third-lowest mark in the CHL. The return of Nathan Lecompte (2G-12A in 12 GP) provided a noticeable boost, as he posted a goal and an assist against Sherbrooke to rejoin the team scoring lead. Washington Capitals prospect Maxim Schäfer (4G-5A in 12 GP) also stayed hot with points in both games last week and eight of his last nine overall. This week, the Saguenéens travel to Baie-Comeau before returning home for matchups with Gatineau and Baie-Comeau.
Games this week: @ Baie-Comeau (Nov. 5), vs. Gatineau (Nov. 7), vs. Baie-Comeau (Nov. 9)
5. Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (QMJHL): Despite remaining one of the QMJHL’s top-performing teams, the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (11-4-2-0) have slipped one spot for the fourth straight week, landing at No. 5 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings. After opening the week with a 7-5 loss to Halifax, the Armada responded with back-to-back wins over Victoriaville (4-1) and Gatineau (3-1). Blainville-Boisbriand still owns the second-best goal differential in the CHL at +34 and continues to lead the QMJHL in scoring with 4.94 goals per game. St. Louis Blues prospect Justin Carbonneau (16G-4A in 13 GP) scored in both games and has now recorded multiple goals in six of his 13 outings this season, pacing the CHL with 16 goals. Vegas Golden Knights prospect Mateo Nobert (7G-14A in 15 GP) extended his point streak to three games and now has 16 points over his last 11 contests. This week, the Armada look to regain upward momentum as they visit Shawinigan on Friday before heading to Drummondville for a date with the red-hot Voltigeurs.
Games this week: @ Shawinigan (Nov. 7), @ Drummondville (Nov. 9)
6. Kitchener Rangers (OHL): The Kitchener Rangers (11-3-2-0) climb to No. 6 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings after extending their point streak to six games (5-0-1-0), highlighted by back-to-back shutout victories — a 3-0 win over Sudbury and a 4-0 road win in Brampton. The Rangers have been one of the CHL’s stingiest defensive teams of late, allowing one goal or fewer in six of their last nine games and giving up just 1.78 goals per game since October 11. It was a milestone week in the crease as both San Jose Sharks prospect Christian Kirsch and 2026 NHL Draft prospect Jason Schaubel recorded their first career OHL shutouts. Kirsch now ranks among the OHL’s top goaltenders with eight wins, a 1.99 goals-against average, and a .920 save percentage. Up front, Jack Pridham (9G-7A in 14 GP) extended his point streak to four games and now has points in eight of his last nine. Kitchener will look to continue its surge this week as it returns home to host Saginaw and Kingston at The Aud.
Games this week: vs. Saginaw (Nov. 7), vs. Kingston (Nov. 9)
7. Prince Albert Raiders (WHL): Riding a season-opening 13-game point streak, the Prince Albert Raiders (10-0-3-0) climb in the CHL Top-10 Rankings for the fourth consecutive week, now sitting at No. 7 nationally. The Raiders continue to be one of the most balanced and disciplined teams in the CHL, averaging 4.38 goals per game while allowing the fewest goals against of any team in the country (31), boasting one of the CHL’s stingiest defensive records at just 2.38 goals against per game. After a narrow 3-2 overtime loss in Calgary — where they surrendered a late tying goal in the final second — Prince Albert responded with a strong 6-4 win over Moose Jaw. San Jose Sharks prospect Max Heise (9G-4A in 11 GP) stayed hot, scoring in both contests, including a hat trick against the Warriors, and has now registered points in nine of his first 11 WHL games. On the blue line, Daxon Rudolph (4G-7A in 13 GP), a top 2026 NHL Draft prospect and Team CHL selection, added his third multi-point outing of the season and has goals in two of his last three. The Raiders now head south for a three-game road swing against Lethbridge, Spokane, and Tri-City.
Games this week: @ Lethbridge (Nov. 5), @ Spokane (Nov. 7), @ Tri-City (Nov. 8)
8. Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL): After a perfect 3-0-0-0 week, the Edmonton Oil Kings (12-4-1-1) rise one spot to No. 8 in the CHL Top-10 Rankings, as they continue to show why they are one of the WHL’s early-season contenders. Edmonton outscored opponents 22-11 across wins over Lethbridge (8-6), Medicine Hat (6-1), and Swift Current (8-4), averaging more than seven goals per game in the process. With 12 victories, the Oil Kings are one of just five CHL teams to reach that mark so far this season — and one of only two in the WHL — backed by the WHL’s second-best goal differential (+27) and a 4.39 goals-per-game scoring rate. Colorado Avalanche prospect Max Curran (4G-14A in 16 GP) was named Tempo WHL Player of the Week after posting 10 points (3G-7A) with a +6 rating, recording multi-point performances in all three outings. Meanwhile, rookie forward Dylan Dean (8G-5A in 16 GP) earned Sandman WHL Rookie of the Week honours with six points (4G-2A), and now leads all Oil Kings first-year players with 13 points (8G-5A) in 16 games. Edmonton hosts Red Deer midweek before heading to Medicine Hat for a Friday rematch against the Tigers.
Games this week: vs. Red Deer (Nov. 5), @ Medicine Hat (Nov. 7)
9. Calgary Hitmen (WHL): Riding a seven-game point streak (6-0-1-0), the Calgary Hitmen (10-3-1-0) make their CHL Top-10 Rankings debut this week, checking in at No. 9. Calgary has been one of the WHL’s hottest teams, winning eight of its last 10 games — a stretch that includes victories over two Top-10 opponents in Edmonton and Prince Albert, as well as recent wins against Red Deer (4-3 SO) and Brandon (3-1). Backstopped by Mary Brown’s Chicken WHL Goaltender of the Week Eric Tu, who went 2-0-0-0 with a 1.51 GAA and .942 SV% last week and now leads the WHL in both goals-against average (1.79) and save percentage (.938), the Hitmen boast a .750 points percentage — third-best in the WHL and tied for fifth across the CHL. Up front, Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Kale Dach (6G-8A in 14 GP) and Dallas Stars prospect Brandon Gorzynski (7G-6A in 12 GP) continue to pace the offence, with both forwards producing in key moments as Calgary has surged up the standings. The Hitmen now continue their six-game road swing with stops in Regina, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, and Saskatoon.
Games this week: @ Regina (Nov. 4), @ Moose Jaw (Nov. 5), @ Swift Current (Nov. 7), @ Saskatoon (Nov. 8)
10. Charlottetown Islanders (QMJHL): After picking up a 4-3 overtime win against Victoriaville to start the week, the Charlottetown Islanders (11-4-1-3) dropped their next three outings — falling 6-2 to Sherbrooke, 3-2 in a shootout to Rouyn-Noranda, and 3-2 to Val-d’Or — which sees them slip to No. 10 in this week’s CHL Top-10 Rankings. The Islanders have won just four of their last 10, though they’ve still managed to earn points in seven of those contests. Charlottetown’s 11 wins remain tied for the most in the QMJHL, and their 26 points continue to lead the Eastern Conference, though Chicoutimi trails by just five points with five games in hand. Ross Campbell (6G-14A in 16 GP) recorded points in three of four games last week and now has points in seven of his last eight, while Marcus Kearsey (7G-11A in 16 GP) scored in back-to-back games to open November and now sits second on the team in scoring. This week, the Islanders face a crucial home-and-home set against the surging Halifax Mooseheads, who are closing ground in the Eastern Conference race.
Games this week: vs. Halifax (Nov. 8), @ Halifax (Nov. 9)
