Training Camp Roster & Week 1 Schedule
As Charlottetown’s highlight event of the year, Old Home Week, gets set to open its gates for the 136th time, that means two things, traffic will be a headache, and training camp for the Islanders is right around the corner.
On August 18th, 51 players are scheduled to check in for the 2024 Islanders Training Camp.
Those hungry for some action won’t be long starved once camp opens, the Islanders are set to take the ice for the first intrasquad game of the Allan Cusson Cup the very next day at the Pownal Sports Centre at 10 a.m.
Those unable to attend the first intrasquad game of the Allan Cusson Cup will have the opportunity to see game two which takes place that same evening at 6 p.m. Once again at the Pownal Sports Centre.
Then on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Islanders’ attention turns quickly from intrasquad games to pre-season hockey when they face the Saint John Sea Dogs. This is part of a home-and-home with the Islanders hosting on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Pownal.
To close out the first week of camp, the Islanders will head to Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Friday where they will clash with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at 7 p.m. inside the Miramichi Civic Centre.
Finally, training camp exit meetings will be held on Saturday morning as the Islanders move closer to finalising their 2024-25 roster.
All Allan Cusson Cup games are free of charge to attend and open to the public. The team will play six pre-season games as a part of training camp; three on the road and three on the Island. Tickets for the Islanders’ three pre-season games are available at the Eastlink Centre Box Office in person from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays or online. Pre-purchased tickets are $13 (Under-60 & 60+) and $8 (Under-25 & Under-13). Tickets will also be available at the door for $15, cash only, for all age groups.
