Islanders Sign 2026 CHL Import Draft Pick Oleksii Kryvonos
Charlottetown, PE – The Charlottetown Islanders are pleased to announce the signing of forward Oleksii Kryvonos.
Kryvonos stands 5’10” and 143lbs as a left-handed offensive asset. The ’09 born player spent the past season in the Slovakia U20 league where he recorded 32 points in 43 games (18G and 14A).
President and General Manager, Scott Harris, made the announcement of Kryvonos’s signing on Wednesday, saying he will play a big part in the teams future success.
“We are very excited to officially welcome Oleksii Kryvonos to the Charlottetown Islanders. Oleksii is a highly skilled, creative offensive player who combines elite speed with a relentless level of compete, making him an exciting player to watch every time he steps on the ice,” said Scott. “To earn MVP honors as a 16-year-old in Slovakia’s U18 league speaks to both his talent and his ability to perform against older competition. His development path through Ukraine, Slovakia, and Finland has prepared him well for this opportunity, and we believe he has the potential to make a significant impact in the QMJHL while also possessing the attributes and pedigree that project to the NHL level. Oleksii is an important addition to the core group we are building in Charlottetown, and we look forward to watching him play a major role in our pursuit of sustained success for years to come.”
